Meet Gina Korrell

President/Founder

Gina has been inspiring dancers of all ages for the past 40 years. Gina expanded on her love of dance when she decided to direct and choreograph for many area dance companies, teams, organizations and theater groups. She volunteered her time to chair the Frederick Arts Council's Dance Committee for 4 years, where she played a vital role in establishing Frederick County’s first and only dance scholarship program and increasing funds for the dance programs in Frederick County. Helping dance enthusiasts and giving back to the community is one of her primary goals.

Gina opened 24/7 Dance Studio in Sept of 2002 and the adventure began. Gina also began 24/7 SRC Student Repertory Companies in 2002 which included umbrella's Dance Fusion dance company and Young Professionals Theater Company. This group is a non-profit performance company that provides pre-professional training and performance opportunities for aspiring performers. The award-winning company has grown to multiple levels and numerous students have won prestigious scholarships and are working professionally.  In 2005 she danced and worked with Step Aside Tap Company in Silver Spring as a business manager to help them promote the Company. She is a Past President of the Maryland Council for Dance, where she solidified the restructuring of the council, which provided opportunities for dancers all across Maryland.  She is the Executive Director of 24/7’s PRIDE Student Performing Company and she directed and produced the TAPS ALIVE Workshops, Taps Alive Concert and the Extreme 14 In10sive Workshops. She continues to teach and manage at her studio. She looks forward to celebrating her 24th Anniversary year of dance excellence and expanding the studio's community outreach program as well as continuing to develop healthy, happy, strong dancers and educators.
