Dance Instructor

Katie celebrates her 25th year teaching dance and her 7th year with 24/7 Dance Studio.  As a Licentiate Member of the Cecchetti Council of America, Katie is certified to instruct students and instructors in the Cecchetti Method of Ballet and Pointe Training through Grades 6 (of 8). She uses this technique as a foundation to instruct children's classes, as well as upper-level ballet and pointe classes, to build technically strong and artistically rounded dancers.  

She grew up dancing in Frederick, MD, and has explored a variety of roles in arts education.  Katie has found her home in the 24/7 Dance Family.  Her core teaching belief is that everybody has the magnificent spark to express creativity through the beauty of movement and to find an accepting community in the performing arts.  She loves to sub in for other instructors, so chances are likely that you will see her in class sometime!  

When not at the studio, you can find Katie at one of her other education-centered jobs or enjoying the outdoors with her family.
